Quilt blocks from 1936

My Niece, Miranda's,  Great Grandmother made the whirlwind blocks.   Her Mom, Penny, had them saved until she asked me to create something for her.   I  quilted them on blocks creating a matted picture frame for each block.

How well do the rag quilts hold up to multiple washings?

These are photos of my Great Nephew, Elias', "Car Blanket".  It's 3+ years old and has been washed no less than 200 times.  It's gone through the flu, potty training and being drug around to many states in his travels.

They wear like iron.

These 2 are ones I made special for my Mom.

The bowling quilt only shows the back side.  The front has a couple of tshirts.  The turtle one is because of her backyard turtle habitat.  It features one of her babies.
